I’ve run the number. Now I help you own yours.
I’m Jamie Joseph Lobo, founder of Next Curve Partners. Fifteen years in commercial leadership taught me that most growth advice comes from people who’ve never personally carried a forecast into a board meeting. I have, more times than I can count.
I started Next Curve Partners because most growth advice splits into two unhelpful camps: consultants who’ve never run the function they’re advising on, and agencies who hand over a deck and disappear before finding out if it actually worked.
I’ve been the person accountable for the number — as CRO, as VP Sales, as the revenue leader in the room when a forecast didn’t land. That’s the perspective I bring into every engagement: not theory borrowed from a framework, but judgement built from actually running the thing.
What 15 Years on the Inside Taught Me
- Growth curves flatten for predictable reasons — the same handful of patterns show up across FMCG, fintech, SaaS and professional services, just wearing different clothes.
- The best plans fail in the handover, not the diagnosis. Most businesses don’t need a smarter strategy. They need someone who’ll stay long enough to help run it.
- A founder’s instincts got the business this far for a reason. The job isn’t to override them — it’s to build the system that lets them stop being the bottleneck.
Most growth advisers are theorists with good slides. I’ve personally missed a number, fixed the reason why, and hit the next one. That difference is the whole business.
Alongside your team, not handed down to it.
Next Curve Partners is a sole practice by design — every engagement gets me directly, not a rotating team of juniors running a template.
Direct, Not Diplomatic
I’ll tell you what’s actually broken, not the version that’s easiest to hear in a leadership meeting.
Built With You
Plans get built alongside the people who’ll run them, so your team owns it from day one, not after I’ve left.
Built to End
The goal of every engagement is a business that doesn’t need me anymore — not a dependency.
Next Curve Partners is based in Queensland, Australia, and works with clients across the country, remote-first by default and in person where it matters. Fifteen years in commercial leadership left me with a low tolerance for corporate hedging and a real appreciation for a business that just says what’s actually going on — which is the standard I try to hold every engagement to.
